Regional concrete sales representatives have a passion for the concrete flooring industry and they enjoy helping others. As a Jon-Don sales representative, you’ll take your knowledge and experience and use it to help other concrete flooring professionals achieve success—not just on a single job, but in their business as a whole.
Jon-Don concrete sales reps provide on-the-job support, help with technical inquiries, give business development ideas, recommend products and procedures, and connect operators with training opportunities.
Manage Your Territory—Manage Your Success
Concrete sales representatives work hard, have an entrepreneurial attitude, and enjoy taking charge of their own success. Division managers provide guidance and support where needed, but your territory functions as your own business—it’s yours to manage, yours to grow. There are no caps on commissions and no limit to your earning potential.
There’s also no clock to punch. You’ll work more traditional business hours, but still field calls from customers on evenings and weekends and provide over-the-phone support. You’ll be responsible for managing your own schedule and setting up meetings, demos, and on-site visits as you see fit.
Experience New Technologies
Jon-Don works closely with top vendors in the industry, so we’re often among the first to learn of new products and equipment. On occasion, we’ll even get our hands on equipment for testing before it hits the marketplace.
Jon-Don sells some of the best tools in the marketplace in large part because we take the time to test each product and make sure it passes our standards before it can be offered to customers.
As a concrete sales rep, you’ll not only have a chance to discover the newest technology right away, but you’ll also be able to provide valuable feedback to our vendors, ensuring that the best solutions are engineered for customers.
Stay Connected to the Industry
Our concrete sales reps have their finger on the pulse in the industry so we can always provide the best, most up-to-date advice and solutions to our customers.
Concrete sales representatives routinely travel to industry tradeshows, like World of Concrete, to connect with customers and promote Jon-Don’s presence in the industry. We also partner with associations, like the ICRI, to provide training and networking opportunities.
Continue Your Education
Jon-Don hosts training seminars and workshops year round, making it easy for customers and employees to advance their knowledge and improve their skill set. Most courses involve a combination of classroom time and hands-on learning in our demo areas. Previous courses have included Advanced Decorative Concrete Staining, Concrete Polishing Skills, and the Metzger/McGuire Joint Fill & Spall Repair Academy.
As a concrete sales rep, you’ll not only connect customers to training opportunities like these, but you’ll also be able to attend classes during the week and continue your own education—all at no cost to you.
Hold on to Your Work Boots
It’s not a suit-and-tie environment here. The office dress code is business casual, but most reps find themselves in a polo shirt, jeans, and work boots—especially when working with customers at a job site or on a demo area.
This is not a job that chains you to the desk. Though much of your time will be spent on the phone or at the computer placing orders, you’ll also be in the field, working one-on-one with customers on a regular basis.
