Even the children of our employees look forward to coming to Jon-Don. Since 1995, we've hosted Take Your Kids to Work Day. The kids who visit get to play lots of games, are treated to a pizza and ice cream lunch, and even have a chance to ride in a real forklift! After punching out for the day, they’re always eager to come back and visit.
The highlight of the year is the annual holiday party, where employees have a chance to relax and have a good time. Each year features a new theme, great food, and entertaining activities. Previous themes have included Casino Night, Western Party, and Indoor Racing. The holiday party is also where we recognize and acknowledge our most loyal employees who have given five, ten, fifteen, and even twenty or more years of service to the organization!
Jon-Don is a good corporate citizen and actively contributes to the community. Charity drives are held throughout the year to collect food, clothing, and toys to benefit the local community. Blood drives are held with the Red Cross, giving employees the opportunity to conveniently make a life-saving donation during the work day.
Additionally, Jon-Don holds an annual golf outing in which all proceeds are donated to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund and the Alzheimer's Association. Both organizations fund research and care initiatives to support individuals with Alzheimer's disease as well as their families and caregivers.
